Established in 1980, and one of the two eldest area wineries under original owner--the other is Filsinger--this is a locals' favorite and a nice treat for visitors looking for a friendly, crush room-adjacent tasting. Soft-spoken owner Joe and his son Bill produce 5,000 cases a year of terroir-driven wines, with acclaim over the years having shifted varietally; some notable picks include the longstanding Sauvingnon Blanc planting, first bottled in 1981, and the newer Cabs and Syrahs from the valley's Volcanic Ridge Vineyards.
